Important Information

Location: The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel at 202 E Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21202

Rate: CMAA has arranged for a special rate of $139 plus applicable taxes. Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Reservations: Reserve now online. The last day to book within the group block is Friday, October 17.

CMAA makes every effort to keep attendee expenses at the National Student Education Conference including registration fees and accommodation rates for the event as economical as possible. We work diligently to negotiate the best hotel rates and to make the best use of your registration dollars to keep the Conference affordable and accessible.

CMAA encourages all participants to reserve a room at The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel; this supports not only the Conference, but also future meetings. While in some instances, less expensive accommodations may be available from third party online consolidators, booking within CMAA’s established block helps to underwrite the cost of meeting space and other hotel concessions. When commitments to our host property are not met, CMAA must pay penalties which will ultimately increase the cost of events.

Airport Options

Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is the closest and is easily accessible for all attendees and serviced by most major airlines. The airport is roughly 12 miles southeast of downtown Baltimore, with several options for onward transportation.

Ronald Reagan National Airport is in Arlington, VA, and is about 50 miles south of downtown Baltimore. There are several options for onward transportation, including the MARC or Amtrak trains.

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by the individual whose name appears on the registration. To be valid, submit all requests to CMAA Registration. No refunds will be made after Monday, October 15. CMAA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.

Substitutions are gladly accepted; substitutions of registrations are permitted prior to the event. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with the substitution. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited.

CMAA is dedicated to providing a safe, hospitable, inclusive, and productive environment for all participants at CMAA Events. CMAA has established minimum expectations of behavior for participants at all CMAA events. Please review the policy. It is intended to supplement any other applicable CMAA policies, including the CMAA Code of Conduct and Ethics.

This conference is a dry experience for our student members. No alcohol of any kind is tolerated at any of the CMAA events. Official policy:
CMAA sanctions a zero-tolerance standard regarding the use of alcohol by CMAA student members at any CMAA national or Chapter social/networking or professional development event/meeting/conference. Alcoholic beverages may not be served to, purchased for, or consumed by current CMAA student members at a CMAA-related event. Student members who are 21 years of age or older are not exempt from this policy. Students may be asked to wear their attendee badges, a wristband, or some other identifiable item to ensure that this zero-tolerance standard is upheld. In no event shall alcoholic beverages be served to, purchased for, or consumed by any individual under 21 years of age at a CMAA-related function.

Business Professional

This is the more formal of the two styles, ideal for traditional workplaces, interviews, or important meetings. Key elements include:

Tailored Blazers: A well-fitted blazer adds structure to your outfit.
Dress Pants or Skirts: Popular classic colors include black, navy, or gray. No denim.
Blouses or Dress Shirts: Opt for simple, elegant styles; avoid anything too revealing or casual.
Dresses: A structured dress that falls at or below the knee can also work well.
Footwear: Closed-toe dress shoes or flats are typically preferred.
Accessories: Simple earrings, a necklace, or a classic watch.

Business Casual

This style is more relaxed but still professional, making it suitable for everyday office wear or less formal meetings. Key components include:

Chic Blouses or Tops: You can play with colors and patterns.
Smart Pants or Skirts: Trousers, chinos, or knee-length skirts are great choices. Avoid denim.
Knitwear: Cardigans or stylish sweaters.
Dresses: Casual dresses that are still structured can work well, too.
Footwear: Loafers, flats, or low heels.
Accessories: Feel free to be a bit more expressive, using scarves or statement jewelry.

Men

Business Casual

This style is more relaxed and suitable for everyday office wear or informal meetings, allowing for some personal flair. Key elements include:

Sweaters or Blazers: A nice sweater or blazer can elevate your look without being too formal.
