Club Tour

Description

This idea, specially branching out from solely touring clubs, has increased interest in the industry and our members are more engaged with the professional development opportunities we offer. Our student's being excited about what CMAA has to offer has encouraged them to come to meetings more often and participate in big events like World Conference!

Implementation

We reached out to alumni working in the clubs in the area to kindly host us and arranged logistics and itineraries with them throughout the month. We sent out a sign-up google form for members interested in attending and created a GroupMe chat to communicate with them more efficiently. We looked and booked an Airbnb in the area and also created a carpool/driver sign-up to accommodate transportation for all. We held a meeting to prepare our students about etiquette that should be followed and also filled out waivers and gave packing lists. Our members loved club tour! Specially the PGA HQ and Pacesetter days because it introduced them to a new side of the club industry and we're excited to pursue opportunities there.
