Holiday Potluck Social

Description

This social changed the game for us. We saw an incredible amount of participation in every activity we hosted, and our members were so willing to participate. This idea for a social truly brought our members together because it was pure fun and the energy in the room was incredible to witness. The group that attended this social are all going to Conference and they sit together at meetings, and it has helped create an atmosphere in our chapter that is captivating.

Implementation

We built a plan/itinerary for how the social was going to be hosted. We created a potluck sign up sheet and a white elephant sign-up sheet and shared it with our members. We encouraged an ugly sweater contest and advertised reindeer games. We planned the games in advanced and bought supplies like streamers and cotton balls and wrapping paper as well as decor to make the room festive! Our members were having an absolute blast! Having a themed event made it easier for members to connect with the purpose of the social and brought out their personalities. They truly enjoyed the games and the food and the time spent together!
