CMAA Summits

In 2016, CMAA launched the Summit concept with the first of more than a dozen Governance/Leadership Summits occurring to-date. A CMAA Summit is meant to be no more than two days in length and focus on one critical topic area.

For example, the Governance/Leadership Summit is a day-long program for a club manager and his/her club board member(s) that focuses on club governance, club trends, board issues, and communication development between manager and board member. CMAA has been conducting approximately four of these annually, with 25-75 attendees per Summit.

In 2019, CMAA will launch a second Summit to be focused on club communications. The two-day Communications Summit will be geared toward those who directly manage or oversee the communications and marketing efforts at the club, or simply are looking to learn more about this very important and constantly-changing aspect of club operations.

CMAA is also considering developing a Capital Improvements Project Summit, which would focus on topics that include obtaining member approval for the project, contracts/draw schedule, project cost estimating, assembling the team and roles and responsibilities, financing, feasibility and valuation, and project management.
