Club management professionals are expecting a stronger 2021. Based on CMAA’s 2020 research, most clubs expected to continue with planned golf course improvement or renovation, maintenance equipment, fitness/spa, clubhouse, or dining area capital improvement projects. You have heard about the significant increase in golf rounds, tennis and pickleball interest, and other outside sport demand. Beyond that, clubs have been innovative in adapting existing spaces for more socially distant dining spaces – both indoor using banquet spaces for a la carte dining and enhancing outdoor spaces with new pop up venues and heated options for all seasons; created amazing events bringing members together in different ways – in person and virtually; served members in entirely new ways with innovative to go options; and experienced increased membership demand as potential members seek the safety of a private venue.
