CMAA’s 2023 Membership Year is Coming to an End

CMAA’s membership year ends on October 31. Please encourage your Chapter members to renew their memberships at their earliest convenience so they do not incur any late fees that may be assessed in the future.

Additionally, please remind them that they can save time and renew online with their credit card by logging into their CMAA profile page.

If you know of any unemployed managers who are actively looking for a job in the industry, please have them contact Alanna Eckard to see if they qualify for a deferment of their dues (Continuation status).

Encourage members to look at their current résumé and if it is more than two years old, it is time to refresh. Hold onto your hats, Giving Tuesday is right around the corner. By participating in the Chapter Challenge for this fundraising effort, Chapters have made a significant difference in the success of this effort. Legislative/Advocacy Chairman

H-2B Returning Worker Provision Removed from FY2024 Spending Legislation

CMAA joins its partners in the H-2B Workforce Coalition to register its disappointment with the last-minute removal of the Returning Worker Exemption from the FY2024 spending legislation. This provision would have enabled returning workers to be exempted from the annual cap of 66,000 visas, and provided substantial cap relief for seasonal employers who rely on this program.

The National Student Education Conference will be held November 3-5 in Palm Beach, FL.
