Embracing Social Media

Description

Since we embraced the social media world, our attendance at events has improved as well as member engagement and has also brought in outside prospective members. We use Instagram and Facebook to alert members of any incidents that happen such as power outages or pool closures due to weather, and it has been a great way to improve communication around the Club property as a whole. It has been integral with the work we have done on the golf course that most members cannot see, we are able to go into great detail about what we are doing with our renovation, the time line of when things will be finished and the benefit it brings to the Club.

Implementation

Between our grounds supervisor and our membership director, we have worked together to bring a clear and concise message to our members. Our membership director handles the overall Club communication via social media and will use content from our grounds supervisor as well since he has his own social media accounts to bring updates about the golf course, course conditions, etc. Our members have really embraced the message and have tagged us in their own posts with our own hashtags as well as engage with our posts. They really enjoy being featured on our posts and a lot seek us out with big events so we can feature them! Members comment all the time about how they enjoy the behind the scenes information from the Club!
