Fiddler's Cares Philanthropy Initiative

Description

While philanthropy has always been a part of our culture, this year we formalized our program called "Fiddler’s Cares." It is a unique marriage between our staff and our members to benefit those in need. Our first initiative was a Giving Tree offered around the holiday season. We created the ornaments with names, age, organization and requested gift, as well as the beautiful Fiddler’s Cares ornaments and tree skirts. The tree was placed near our reception desk at the entry of our main clubhouse for all members and staff to experience.

Implementation

We partnered with two deserving beneficiaries. One is Alternatives, Inc. (their mission is to provide comprehensive services to individuals/families with special needs to enable them to reach their highest level of independence and integration into the community.)

The other worthy charity was Wynona’s House (their mission is to promote justice and provide healing for child victims of abuse and neglect.)

We were overwhelmed by the amazing generosity of our members and staff that donated more than 250 gifts and toiletry items.
