Golf Social Media

Description

We created videos as an alternative method to communicate with our members. We realize a lot of our members get overloaded with emails so we wanted to communicate with our members on different platforms.
Videos we created were to notify members of new products in the golf shop to include hardgoods and softgoods. We used videos to promote any manufacturer promotions. We created videos to promote our events like 9, Wine and Dine, Member Guests, and specialty events such as: The Classic, Men’s Martini, and Ladies Rules Seminar. We also created videos for trunk shows and special events such as our “Shop til you Drop”, “Meet the Designer”, “Balloon Savings Event” held in the golf shop. We used Vimeo to upload the videos for better quality for posting and emailing. In addition to videos, we started texting our members as a reminder of any special events such as trunk shows, demo days, and savings they could receive in the golf shop.

Implementation

Our videos were posted on our St. Andrews Facebook page, as well as including them in our weekly golf eblast that is sent out on Sundays. Once we started communicating on these platforms, our members were better informed and as a result participation in our events went up. In addition, our sales increased as a result of our “reminder” texts that went out. Our social media video initiative began in February 2019 with 33 views and has steadily grown in views with over 500.
