Congratulations to the Newest Certified Club Managers

CMAA congratulations the newest club management professionals to attain the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM). Established in 1965, the CCM designation is the hallmark of professionalism in club management. It is a valuable, internationally recognized, and widely respected mark of an individual’s commitment to professional development and the club industry.

The CCM designation indicates that a club management professional has completed a rigorous and extensive course of study and training and demonstrates a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management. To receive the CCM designation, one must invest time in specified education requirements, attend at least one World Conference and Club Business Expo, and maintain activity within their local chapter. After these conditions have been met, the individual must pass the CCM Exam.

President & CEO’s Perspective: Broadening Our CMAA Communities

Hello CMAA! I hope to see many of you at the World Conference and Club Business Expo later this month. We have excellent registration numbers that have exceeded our member and supplier expectations. To accommodate everyone, we added two additional hotels for attendees, and we will be running a daily shuttle to/from those satellite properties. I suspect this may be a post-COVID anomaly as last year some members and suppliers were still uncomfortable with travel and vaccine requirements. I am so glad those days are behind us.

Complete the Club Employee Demographic Assessment

The Club Employee Demographic Assessment is presented with support from CMAA and The Club Foundation. It will provide a baseline and snapshot of the demographics across the club industry. This three-year project will enable your club to benchmark your changing demographics over time.

Your club's participation and information are confidential. Please submit one response per club. You will gain insight into your team’s diversity and assist in formulating your own DEI strategy and tactics. Your club's participation in this assessment will provide data to help CMAA build education and resources to help clubs recruit and retain diverse talent, making it attractive for everyone to choose to work in clubs.

Complete the 15-minute assessment now or make time during the upcoming World Conference to take the assessment onsite.

If you have any questions about any of CMAA’s research initiatives, please contact CMAA's Director of Research, Amilcar Davyat 703-739-9500.

Supply-Chain Challenges with Chicken? Try These Center-of-Plate Strategies

According to the CDC, more than 49 million birds in 46 states (and counting) have either died due to bird flu virus infection or have been culled due to exposure to infected birds since early 2022. This crisis impacts supply, prices and menus across the board.

With this in mind, we asked Dr. Henry Zerby, Entegra’s vice president of supply management, what operators need to consider about supply-chain challenges for center of plate as we continue to experience the rippling effects of shortages from poultry producers.
