Maintaining the Certified Club Manager Designation

All Certified Club Managers (CCMs) are required to meet the Certification Maintenance Requirement (CMR). The CMR is a five-year certification period where CCMs must earn 120 education credits. At least 60 of the 120 credits must be CMI and/or Chapter Education credits.

These credits can be earned in a variety of methods ranging from:

  • World Conference attendance and education
    • World Conference is CMAA’s biggest educational event of the year. It provides an opportunity for quality education and the ability to earn many credits in a single event.
  • Attendance at Chapter Education
    • Chapters provide an opportunity for members to get credits and education locally.
  • CMAA University
    • CMAA University is a great way to earn credits toward your CMR. Your CMAA membership gives you access to CMAA University courses taken at your pace and on your schedule.

These are just a few of the educational opportunities available to you. Feel free to reach out to the Professional Development Team with questions.

Many Thanks from The Club Foundation

We are grateful to those who donate time and money to support The Club Foundation. In FY2022, there were nearly 3,000 members who donated one or more times to support The Foundation. We simply could not fulfill our mission without those contributions.

In addition to monetary donations, The Club Foundation is deeply grateful to all those who give volunteer hours to support the mission. Our Board of Governors meets multiple times per year in addition to serving on committees and special task forces. Additionally, the Club Foundation Allocation Committee (CFAC) spends many hours evaluating scholarship and grant applications as well as participating in meetings. While CFAC is anonymous to protect the fairness of the application evaluation process, they are wholly dedicated to helping us give away funds that are critical to so many scholars and grant recipients. Thank you to these individuals and so many others who watch and help with our work.

We simply couldn’t achieve our mission without the support of all those who give, whether monetarily or with volunteer time. It is because of CMAA members’ dedication and commitment that we can award grants and scholarships to members in need.
