The Legendary Iron Man of Baseball to Keynote Opening Business Session
One of the true legends of baseball, "Iron Man" Cal Ripken, Jr. broke several professional records during his 21 seasons, but none is as sacred as his consecutive-games-played record. Shattering Lou Gehrig's streak of 2,131 games by more than 500, Ripken displayed perseverance, endurance, and an everyday work ethic that endeared him to fans, transformed him into a national icon, and some argue, even saved baseball at its darkest moment.
An inspirational speaker, Ripken is the personification of leadership, commitment, and excellence. His warm and witty presentations are filled with stories from his illustrious career, and he shares how his keys to success apply to both the business world as well as the baseball field. One of the most popular athletes of his generation, Ripken's example inspires attendees to achieve their own brand of success.
Get inspired by the legendary “Iron Man” of baseball at the Opening Business Session on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Florida Chapter Rallies Around Club Staff Impacted by Hurricane Ian
In September, Hurricane Ian devastated the west coast of Florida. The Florida Chapter, in collaboration with the Seminole Region Charity Golf Tournament Committee, has focused its efforts to raise funds to support the front-line club employees on the west coast of South Florida most affected by this devastating natural disaster. All funds will benefit these individuals directly.
CMAA and The Club Foundation have each contributed $10,000 to the effort to help these individuals to rebuild their homes and lives.
In October, Seminole Region members gathered to load the truck of furniture (pictured here) to deliver to west coast staff and others in need. The FLCMAA extends its thanks to the more than 100 members, staff, and community volunteers who made it possible to donate more than 400 pieces of furniture to families in need. Learn more about this effort.
Donations can be made to support the effort by texting “HELPCLUBSTAFF” to 44321.
