Additionally, last month, CMAA hosted its very first Chapter Leader Connection and Resource Briefing Zoom meeting. It was great to see so many of you there! It was a huge success, and we plan to hold several every year! Please be on the lookout for future opportunities to connect with your fellow Chapter leaders.
Hopefully this has been a good refresher on what is available to you as a Chapter leader. We are here to assist however we can. Thank you for the part you play in making CMAA’s Chapter network so special!

All Officers
There’s No Place Like CMAA. That is CMAA’s 2024-2025 theme! At your next meeting, take some time to talk as a Chapter about how this theme has shown up in various ways over the past several years—both at your clubs and in your Chapter. The Chapter of the Year Award Program will be centered around this theme and will be made available to Chapters by the end of June. So be on the lookout and start thinking about your entry! We can’t wait to see how you’ve made this theme come to life as a Chapter.

Senate Passes No Tax on Tips Act
On May 20, the US Senate passed S129, the No Tax on Tips Act. The legislation creates a new federal income tax deduction for qualified tips. A notable 63.2 percent of clubs have transitioned away from traditional tipping models to service charges for member dining. However, clubs may soon find themselves reevaluating their approach. The bill will now head to the House of Representatives for consideration. The House passed a similar measure in the 2025 tax package.
